You may be wondering why we would include photos of something as devastating as a flood. The reason is that a considerable amount of time, effort, and money was spent on designing, engineering, and constructing the water system at Millarville Crossing. Engineers were charged with the responsibility of coming up with a system that would withstand the 1 in 100 year flood event. The design included the addition of a third culvert under highway 22, at the developers expense.

Unfortunately for many Alberta residents and businesses, we experienced just such a flood event in the summer of 2005. To everyone's relief, the water system at Millarville Crossing functioned exactly as it was designed to, and although some damage was sustained, water levels never exceeded the design criteria for which the system was built. This should be a source of comfort for anyone contemplating building a home in this development.
